Is SAP IBP the answer, as some claim? SAP APO is a well-known tool for supporting companies’ planning & execution supply chain process. Support for this tool is currently planned to end in 2025. In the roadmap of SAP current APO functionality will be moved to SAP IBP and SAP S/4 on HANA.
Lora Cecere also noted that “…many have attempted to implement SAP HANA with discouraging results. This includes cost overruns of 2-3X the budget and completion 50% off of the timetable. It is expensive and disappointing”.
A proper planning system implementation should enable very tangible decision making that deploys the company’s strategy into operations. The key in this process is to bridge the gap between business and IT during design & implementation, and to organize and optimize for results during and post go live.
Join EyeOn’s Inspirational Network Event for supply chain planning managers and let’s discuss together with your peers what SAP IBP can bring. Get the right knowledge and new insights at our event on the implementation and experiences in the use of SAP IBP.
