Special tender desks are setup to capture tender sales information, but the forecasting process and integration with business planning remain a challenge. Planning and forecasting is a key factor in protecting margins in markets driven by tenders. However, current practice, suitable for classical markets with many outlets, wholesalers and distributors, is not fit to take up this role.
