3rd Life Science network event: How to organize the planning function

EyeOn   |   February 21, 2011   |   Life Science   |

In many of our peer companies, there is an active discussion on how to organize the planning function. The discussion might have started from a merger, a need for improved forecast reliability, a need for decreased working capital or a cost-cutting effort. But either way: a good design will lay the foundation for a best-in-class cooperation of central and local functions!

On March 17th, EyeOn will host the third Life Science round table at Croy Castle. This time the subject is “how to organize the planning function – make better decisions for (de-)centralized planning”. We will explore this topic with the following contributors to the day programme:

  • Centralized vs. Decentralized planning at Philips Consumer LifeStyle - Eelco van den Akker
  • International Planning at  Schering-Plough Intervet Animal Health – Joris Meijs and Rob Schröder
  • Crowd Forecasting – Miel Theeuwen (teacher at AOG Business School)
  • Peer-to-peer knowledge sharing - all

The sessions will be set up to be interactive, so we hope each participant will find his / her answer to questions like:

  • What is the best way to organize and scope the international demand planning function
  • How to organize frequent processes (S&OP) effectively across central and local departments
  • What should be the tasks of the central and local departments
