Nedinsco - Planning Support

Interim Supply Chain Coordinator for Nedinsco, an optical, mechanical and electronic system manufacturer for high-tech applications. Due to the strong ramp-up in the semi-conductor industry in 2010 many suppliers were facing troubles with meeting the significantly increased customer demand. The main requirement was to secure the deliveries to a major customer (HT equipment manufacturer) for the next 6 months, define containments in case of delivery problems and define actions for structural solutions. To meet these requirements EyeOn has implemented a way-of-working on supply planning, in combination with short communication with some suppliers and the major customer. This results in significantly reduced delays in deliveries to the major customer, including improved visibility of the customer orders status and an improved score on the logistical performance. At the end the operational activities were transferred to a new supply planner.

Furthermore the project was aimed on creating a recovery plan with recommendations to improve the current supply chain processes within the organization, based on the observations and findings during the daily activities. Some of those structural improvement projects were already executed during the project.
