Round-table event on December 10th for supply chain professionals in the process industry

EyeOn has setup a new knowledge network for companies operating in the Process Industry. The network focuses on the Planning & Forecasting challenges that supply chain professionals in the process industry have to manage in their day-to-day activities. The first bi-annual network event is scheduled for Thursday December 10^th at Croy Castle in Aarle Rixtel.

Subject of the first event will be: Successfully preparing for the upswing

In the last couple of months companies have successfully cut costs by reducing the number of FTE and inventory as a reaction to the difficult economic circumstances. As a result, a lot of flexibility has been removed, which makes it even more important to align demand & supply in such a way that the expected upswing in demand is fully materialized.  During the round-table session several important questions from the network members will be touched like:

·         How did the recession impact your business and what actions have you taken to remain profitable?

·         How do you anticipate on future growth?

·         How can you prepare your company to fully benefit from the demand upswing?

Jan Fransoo, Professor at the University of Eindhoven, will give a presentation and discuss with you how to manage your supply chain, knowing that the process industry will be the first to benefit from an improved economy.

Furthermore Ralph van Weerdenburg, Manager Supply Chain Planning at Sabic, and Marc Van Calster Planning Manager at Tessenderlo Chemi, will both share their experience and challenges on planning & forecasting in the current market circumstances.
