EyeOn Consumer Goods event “Big-data & Demand Planning''
Forecasting and demand Management is a considerable challenge in consumer-facing industries with high seasonality, decreasing product life cycles, high price erosion, growing promotion pressure or new distribution channels emerging. On the other hand, more data becomes available; social media, point of sales, websites search behavior have the promise to provide a wealth of information on (consumer) behavior. The key question is: how can big data help improving demand planning?
After a successful first meeting, the second Consumer Electronics network meeting is held at February 16th in 's-Hertogenbosch at the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS) bon the topic of “Big-data & Demand Planning”.
To diversify and further leverage the experiences in working with big data, for the coming meeting we also invite other Consumer Goods related companies like Unilever, Coca Cola and Heineken.
