Graduated Industrial Engineering and Management Science at the Eindhoven University of Technology, and specializing in Supply Chain Management. Obtained his Ph.D. in operations research from the same university and received Ph.D. finalist award from the Beta research school for his thesis on uncertainty in hierarchical production planning. Worked as a project lead in the supply chain of Bosch Security Systems from 2004 to 2007.
Before Michiel joined EyeOn, from 2011 to 2014 he was working for Quintiq, a vendor of supply chain planning and optimization software. In the role of lead business consultant, among others, he was responsible for the design and implementation of a globally integrated S&OP system for one of the largest manufacturers of automotive glass. Furthermore he acted as pre-sales consultant in various sales cycles.
